Life’s journey with its bends, twists and turns can be daunting. There comes a time when one appears to be on a lone road without clear signs or mappings. After what seems like a long stretch in a desert, what a sweet relief it would be to find footprints. Hope comes alive the moment we realise that someone has been through the road we find ourselves!

Thanksgiving is acknowledgment. Giving thanks to the Lord magnifies the Lord and makes him big in our sight. In psalms 9, David said, “I will give thanks to you, Lord”. Giving thanks is a deliberate action; it does not happen automatically and neither should it be circumstantial. David said “I will”, meaning he will, and this does not mean he will always feel like it.
