Pain! Pain! Pain!

I had little or no idea of pain until now,

Pain is painful but we need to go through the pain,

To heal, yes to heal.

Many are hurting and bruising but we take it out on others,

Instead of healing, we embrace the cover-up method,

And I found out that no wound has ever been healed using cover-up without treatment, no it will never happen,

It only gets rotten.

Pain sometimes can be a good thing,

Which can also be a sign of an underlying condition,

While we are supposed to figure out the underlying condition,

We then look for an easy way out,

Yes, we want to ignore it,

Or run to something that shifts our focus,

Something like drugs and other forms of evil.

I think pain is not all bad,

It helps us know how to navigate life better – what works and does not,

It’s like a little baby touching fire,

After touching it, he/she knows fire hurts,

Or learns to hold fire in a way that would hurt.

Pain is not pleasing,

No one likes pain,

But most times, hurting people cause pain for others,

Because they are hurting.

Do you want to take time to heal?

Do you know that there are wounds only God can heal,

Do you know that drugs, alcohol, and flirting do not heal,

They are just that cover-up method that destroys more,

They cause more damage than the pain.

Another side to this,

I have experienced loss,

Humans have caused me pain,

But I do not think bleeding on others should be my next move,

Often, the pain caused by others is their way of bleeding their own wounds onto you,

We should not continue the cycle right?

We should not continue to bleed on others right?

So I suggest, you allow God to heal you,

So that instead of bleeding on others and continuing the cycle,

We live our lives to bless others by allowing God to heal us.

I woke up one night because of the feeling of pain,

Yes, the feeling of pain,

I felt foolish to be deceived again,

To be hurt again,

Instead of beating myself up, I decided to embrace healing,

A small voice rehearsed how hard I should be on others,

Another small voice said; learn your lessons, heal and you do not have to bleed on others.

I know the second voice, he is that still, peaceful voice,

We call the voice the Holy Ghost,

I embrace the voice and that is why I am writing this.

Let us all heal and then

instead of bleeding on others and continuing the cycle,

Let’s live our lives to bless others.
